Join our group and work on any sewing project you’d like. If you don’t have a project, we’ll find you one! Beginning quilters are welcome. It is also a great time to get out of the house and make friends with others who have similar interests. Sewing machines are available upon request, or bring your own. Some of the areas covered include: safe daily operation of a boiler, boiler operation principles, boiler fittings and accessories, steam and hot water systems, combustion controls and efficiency, boiler water treatment, boiler maintenance and log keeping, state and federal regulating agencies, test applications, and affidavits. On-site boilers, both steam and hot water will be used for “hands-on” illustration of materials covered in the classroom. Upon satisfactory completion of this course, you will be prepared to take your MN State Examination. This course is also for anyone wanting to test for Special Class through Chief.
