American Heart offers this course to help individuals, 11 years of age and older, prepare for the responsibility of babysitting. You will learn how to care for infants through school age children and perform tasks such as diapering, preparing simple meals, and dressing. In addition, the course will offer ideas for toys and games to play with the children. With safety as the utmost important factor, you will learn how to handle emergencies and focus on safe care of infants and children. Handouts will be provided. Please bring a bag lunch. Limit 10.

Instructor Aryn Lill has created a kit for students to paint a beautiful barn quilt pattern on a 14”x14” reclaimed wood pallet! Each pallet is hand crafted by and has unique qualities! (Note: the wood is really reclaimed, meaning each pallet will be completely individual and have flaws such as nail holes and small dings.) The wood has been carefully selected, pre-sanded and assembled. All you need to supply to complete this lovely project is a ruler and paint colors of your choice. (Aryn will have recommendations for you!) Available for pick up at the Holmes Theatre, (HAC), Sat, Nov 14 between 1 and 5 pm or during business hours Mon through Fri after the 14th.
