You’ll learn how to evoke humor through exaggeration, study basic anatomy and proportions, and take a detailed look at facial expressions. Unplug and reconnect with the outdoors! Detroit Mountain is offering week-long day camps this summer that will promote healthy lifestyles and immerse kids in nature while building friendships. All snacks and lunches are included in the day camp price. We will provide a healthy morning and afternoon snack and a sandwich and salad bar lunch daily. Camp will go on rain or shine! Parents and campers will be required to sign a code of conduct and release of liability waiver form at drop off on the first day of camp. Camp fee is $195.* Registration deadline is one week prior to camp start date. (For each camp week there is a minimum of 5 campers and a maximum of 25.) Upon completion of all or any sessions, campers will receive a 2020 Trails Only pass good for all cross country hiking and biking trails ($50 value). For ages 1013 years old. Paint the iconic scenery of Detroit Lakes beach!  Katie will guide you through painting a beautiful scene from the surrounding environment in your own unique perspective on a 16x20 canvas. All supplies will be included. Ages 16 and up. Please bring blankets, sunscreen, bugspray, etc. (whatever you need to be comfortable at the beach and for painting). You can work together or each create your own masterpiece, side by side. Students will learn how to perform fabulous feats of amazing magic with ordinary objects such as ropes, coins, rubber bands and more. Beyond the entertainment value, magic helps improve digital dexterity, coordination, critical thinking, creativity, public speaking skills, self confidance, and imagination. Magic classes are recommended for children ages 6-13. Students must have a device that can access the internet to take this course. Magic Instruction Booklet and props (included in fee) will be available for pick up at the Holmes.
